Los instrumentos musicales nos han ayudado a comunicarnos y expresarnos desde los albores de la humanidad y las formas, escalas y sonidos de estos artefactos nos dan una idea de las extraordinarias culturas que los crearon.

Este paquete de samples se grabó en Buenos Aires en @estudiomudras e incluye grabaciones de instrumentos raros y poco conocidos, como diferentes tipos de flautas, silbato doble, un generador de ruido, trompeta, zumbador, botella silbadora y turú. Diseñados hace muchos cientos de años, escuchar sus sonidos y crear con ellos hoy es una invitación a reconectar con otras formas de ver y estar en el mundo.

Estos instrumentos son recreaciones de artefactos sonoros de diferentes culturas ancestrales de Centroamérica y Sudamérica, como la Mochica, la Nazca, la Azteca, la Maya y la Guaraní. Son el fruto de muchos años de estudio, investigación e interpretación junto a la Universidad Nacional de Argentina en Tres de Febrero @maestriaencreacionmusical, la Orquesta de Instrumentos Autóctonos y Nuevas Tecnologías @orquestauntref y el Instituto de Etnomusicología y Creación en Artes Tradicionales y Avant Garde de Argentina.

Musical instruments have helped us to communicate and express ourselves since the dawn of humanity and the forms, scales and sounds of these artifacts give us a glimpse into the extraordinary cultures that created them.

This sample pack was recorded in Buenos Aires in @estudiomudras and includes recordings of rare and little known instruments including different types of flutes, double whistle, a noise generator, trumpet, zumbador, whistling bottle, and turú. Designed many hundreds of years ago, hearing their sounds and creating with them today is an invitation to reconnect with other ways of seeing and being in the world.

These instruments are recreations of sound artifacts from different ancestral cultures of Central and South America including the Mochica, Nazca, Aztec, Maya, and Guaraní. They are the fruits of many years of study, research and performance together with the National University of Argentina at Tres de Febrero @maestriaencreacionmusical, the Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies @orquestauntref and the Institute of Ethnomusicology and Creation in Traditional and Avant Garde Arts in Argentina.
